International Round Table on Artificial Intelligence: Economic Aspects
On June 20, 2024, Moscow Polytechnic University hosted a successful international round table discussion on "Artificial Intelligence: Economic Aspects," bringing together experts from five countries to share knowledge and foster collaborations in AI and economics.
The Department of Economics and Organization, in collaboration with the Department of International Activities, organized the event to facilitate a comprehensive discussion on the current and pressing topics related to artificial intelligence (AI) and its economic implications.
The event brought together esteemed experts from Moscow Polytechnic University, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Pakistan), Islamic University of Uganda, Kumasi Technical University (Ghana), and Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University (Turkey).
International round table “Artificial Intelligence. Economic Aspects” is aimed at discussing current and important topics. The round table format allowed foreign participants to gain personal experience of communicating with experts from various foreign universities, to discuss a number of pressing issues in a narrow professional circle regarding the application and use of AI in the modern world and the economic aspects of its application.
Notable presentations were delivered by distinguished speakers, including Dr. Jamil Serwanda, Vice-Rector of the Islamic University of Uganda, and Dr. Khalidu Babamu Osman, Professor at Kumasi Technical University. Qurtuba Aslam, Nuzhat Tariq, and Abdul Samad from the Department of International Relations, Federal Urdu University Karachi, also actively participated in the event.
The event was organized by a team of dedicated professionals, including Tenishchev A.V., Head of the Department of Economics and Organization, Moscow Polytechnic University; Ostrovskaya O.I., Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Organization, Moscow Polytechnic University; Komisaruk R.V., Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics and Organization, Moscow Polytechnic University; Alhassan Tijani Forgo, Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Organization, Moscow Polytechnic University; Shmatko S.G., Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Organization, Moscow Polytechnic University; and Master's students from the Department of Economics and Organization, including Khaliss Ayoub and Andrea Pulikkottil Paul.
The international round table on "Artificial Intelligence: Economic Aspects" proved to be a valuable platform for experts to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in the field of AI and economics. The participants agreed to continue the discussion and explore potential joint research projects in the future.
Celebrating 60th Anniversary Of Diplomatic Relations Between Pakistan & Poland
Department of International Relations Federal Urdu University,Karachi commemorates the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Poland. A reception will be held at 10:30 at Auditorium 2 Arts Council Karachi.
Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan will be Chief Guest.
Vice Chancellor Federal Urdu University will be guest of honour.
One Day Workshop Research Method In Social Science
The Office of Research Innovations and Commercialization (ORIC) and Department of International Relations at Federal Urdu University Karachi are organizing a workshop on Research Methods in Social Sciences for the esteemed faculty members, and M.Phil., PhD students at the Federal Urdu University Karachi on September 13, 2023.
We believe it would be highly beneficial to organizing a workshop dedicated to equipping them with essential research skills.
The proposed workshop aims to achieve the following objectives:
· To Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of various research methodologies employed in the Social Sciences.
· To Familiarize participants with data collection, Literature Review, and analysis techniques.
· To Explore best practises in designing and conducting research projects in the field of Social Sciences.
· To Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among faculty members and students through interactive sessions and discussions.

During the meeting faculty members introduced their departments and informed about departmental activities.
Participants commented on different programs of mutual interest. Both departments agreed to celebrate 75th Anniversary of diplomatic relations of Pakistan and Russia on 1st May 2023.
Both departments showed their interest to seize opportunities of cultural exchange program including faculty and students exchange program including initiative of dual degree program on Digital Diplomacy.
It is also agreed that both departments will organise joint seminars , symposiums. An international conference on Pak-Russia relations will be organised by 2024.
Both departments emphasized to work for bringing close together two nations to point fundamental unity.
It is agreed that soon Vice Rector of Kazan Federal University Russia will visit Karachi Pakistan to sign the MoU .
